Christian is a Research Fellow in the Department of Surgical and Interventional Engineering at King’s College London (KCL). After completing his BSc and MSc degrees in Acoustical Engineering and Signal Processing in 2009, he joined the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) as a Research Scientist in Medical Ultrasonics, focusing on signal processing, tomography, field measurement and research software engineering. From 2014 to 2020, while working at NPL, he completed his part-time PhD in Biomedical Engineering at KCL. In 2020, he joined KCL full-time as a Research Fellow, where he is applying his expertise in medical ultrasonics and research software engineering to the development of a system for automated, ultrasonic position tracking of instrumentation for fetal surgery.
