Kabir Hamzah Muhammad is a PhD student supervised by Prof. Tom Vercauteren and Dr. Jonathan Shapey. His research centers on brain MRI super-resolution and reconstruction for meningioma, with an emphasis on applications in Sub-Saharan Africa. He earned an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s degree in Medical Imaging and Applications, studying across four universities in Europe and Asia. During his thesis research at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, he developed EchoPath: Pathology-Conditioned Echocardiogram Video Generation. Prior to his master’s, Kabir received a First-Class Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Ilorin. He is deeply interested in leveraging artificial intelligence to reduce costs and improve access to healthcare diagnostics.
