Rick is a Ressearch Associate in Interventional Image Computing. He is currently working on the next generation of AI-assisted hyperspectral imaging systems for surgical guidance using quantitative fluorescence. He did his PhD from Edge Hill University working on multi-label human activity recognition from videos for persons with physical impairments. He worked as Postdoc at the University of Lincoln where he developed the vision pipeline for an automated strawberry harvesting robot. During his second Postdoc at Edge Hill University, he worked on using GAN to generate missing data for patients suspected of having pancreatic cancer.
