Lucas is a PhD student and a Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Research Fellow in the european consortium TRABIT. He is supervised by Prof. Tom Vercauteren, Prof. Sebastien Ourselin, and Prof. Jan Deprest (UZ Leuven). He is developing robust deep learning methods for reliable medical image segmentation with application in fetal brain parcellation in MRI, COVID-19 lung lesion segmentation in CT, and brain tumor segmentation in MRI.

In 2018, he received a MSc degree in applied mathematics from CentraleSupelec, Paris-Saclay University, France. In 2018, he received a MRes degree in mathematics, computer vision, and machine learning from Ecole Normale Superieure, Paris-Saclay University, France. In 2016, he received a MRes degree in core mathematics from Paris-Sud University, Paris-Saclay University, France.
