Marina obtained an MSc in Healthcare Technologies from King’s College London, where she developed a deep learning algorithm for automatic segmentation of Neurofibromatosis type II-associated hearing nerve tumours. Previously, Marina worked as a research associate, focusing on curation of medical imaging datasets for international segmentation challenges and research in neuroimaging. Her PhD project centers on AI-driven management of brain tumours from Magnetic Resonance Imaging and is supervised by Mr. Jonathan Shapey and Prof. Tom Vercauteren.
