Navodini Wijethilake is a KCL MRC-DTP PhD student supervised by Mr. Jonathan Shapey and Prof. Tom Vercauteren. Her project is on “Data-driven composite biomarker development for the personalised management of vestibular schwannoma”. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering at University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. During her undergraduate training period, she did a research internship at Medical Mechatronics Labs, National University of Singapore, Singapore. Her research were focused on overall survival prediction with radiomics and also, genomics. This motivated her to focus on prognostic analysis for her PhD application. Further, after her graduation she engaged in research at Wadduwage Lab, Harvard University, where she focused on learning based reconstruction algorithm development for fluorescent microscopic images.
