Navodini Wijethilake is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at King’s College London and is building MedCaliper, a spinout focused on advancing personalised clinical decision-making through AI-driven technologies. She completed her PhD through the KCL MRC Doctoral Training Partnership under the supervision of Mr Jonathan Shapey and Professor Tom Vercauteren. Her doctoral research focused on developing data-driven composite biomarkers for the personalised management of vestibular schwannoma. She also participated in the King’s MedTech Accelerator and the Innovate UK ICURe programme, supporting the translation and commercialisation of her PhD research through the development of MedCaliper.

Navodini obtained her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. During her undergraduate studies, she completed a research internship at the Medical Mechatronics Laboratory at the National University of Singapore, where she worked on overall survival prediction using radiomic and genomic data for brain tumour patients. Following graduation, she conducted research at the Wadduwage Lab at Harvard University, focusing on learning-based reconstruction algorithms for fluorescence microscopy images and contributing to high-impact research.
